When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are in the motion area.

Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving off by itself.
Wear closed and tight-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Start engine and fill compressed air system.

 Alternatively, fill compressed-air system using an external air supply.

 Ensure required operating pressure is maintained throughout entire test. Operating pressure can only be determined indirectly using display units of service brake (min 8 bar).



Reversing at front entrance

Open door from the outside using the key, close again and press in seal (3) at front of door wing when closing the door.

 The doors must return to the open position (reverse).



Reversing at center and rear entrance

Open door from the outside using the key, close again and press in seal (4) at front of door wing when closing the door.

 The doors must return to the open position (reverse).

Open door from the outside using the key, close again and press in seal (4) at bottom of door wing when closing the door.

 The doors must return to the open position (reverse).

Open door from the outside using the key, close again and press in seal (6) at door frame when closing the door.

 The doors must return to the open position (reverse).

Close doors and hold test piece between doors and door frame half way up the door .

 The doors must return to the open position (reverse).

 The reversing device must function
up to

30 mm before the doors are closed completely.



Repeat test procedure with test piece approx. 150 mm above the bottom edge of the door.

 The doors must return to the open position (reverse).



Function of closing assist

Remove workshop cock paneling

 Paneling at side of door drive. On vehicles with sleeper cabin, remove cover on second step of central entrance.

Evacuate door control by turning workshop cock (8) in direction of arrow.

 Workshop cock indicator lamp must light up on instrument panel.

Warning buzzer must sound when engine is running.

Pressurize door control by turning workshop cock (8) in opposite direction to arrow.

Actuate control valve (9) for closing assist by hand.

 Levers (10) of closing assist must move to holding position.



Inside emergency switch actuation

With the door closed, turn the emergency cock (11) all the way to the right.

Actuate emergency cock by inserting a socket wrench through the hole in the cover to prevent damaging seal.

 The doors must open automatically and the indicator lamp in the corresponding pushbutton switch must light up.

The warning buzzer must sound when engine is running.

 If the operating pressure is insufficient, it must be possible to push open the door from the inside and pull open the door from the outside.

Turn back emergency cock (11) to starting position.

Emergency cock (11) approx. 45° - 50° to the right in direction of arrow

 In this position, it must be possible to open the striker eyes of the striker pin (12) by hand, if necessary 

Adjust Bowden cable of striker pin.

Turn back emergency cock (11) to starting position.

Turn back workshop cock (8) to starting position

Install workshop cock paneling.

Close doors.

 Using wrench or pushbutton switch.

Switch off engine.
