Check valve clearance on all valves

 Do not crank the engine at the camshaft under any circumstances, otherwise the camshaft can be damaged.

 Crank engine at crankshaft in direction of rotation of engine and determine valve clearance between camshaft and valve tappets (arrow) using feeler gauge.

The cylinder to be adjusted must be positioned at ignition TDC, the synchronous cylinder must be at valve overlap TDC.

Set valve clearance

Only if valve clearance is too high or too low.

 The respective valve tappet must be exchanged to adjust the valve clearance, see: 


