Raise vehicle and support at frame

 Attach safety stands behind the front springs.

Remove left front wheel



Disconnect propeller shaft (6) from vibration damper (5)



Pinch off both coolant hoses (7) using clamps



Detach both coolant hoses (7) from heat exchanger (9)

Remove oil filter (8)

 Catch escaping hydraulic fluid.

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under high pressure. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid

Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Detach bracket for hydraulic lines (14) and remove hydraulic lines (14)

With code HP5 dual-circuit hydraulic system

 Catch escaping hydraulic fluid.

Separate connectors on the solenoid valves (2)

 Mark connectors before removal.

Install two shackles on the support eyes (arrows A) of the power take-off transmission (1)

Attach engine hoist (15) to a mobile workshop crane and connect to the two shackles

 An engine hoist (15) with three support hooks must be used.

After installing the engine hoist (15) it must be possible to change the inclined position of the power take-off transmission (1) in the direction of travel.

Raise power take-off transmission (1) gently

Unscrew nut on right front of transmission mount (3) and pull out bolt (4)



Remove bracket on left rear of transmission mount (10)



Remove bolt (13) on bracket at left front of transmission mount (12)

 Installation: Install new bolt (13).



Raise power take-off transmission (1)

 Raise power take-off transmission (1) until the threaded hole (arrow B) is freely accessible.

Screw bolt (13) with a body washer into the threaded hole (arrow B)

Install the third support hook of the engine hoist (15) on the bolt (13)

Remove PTO transmission (1)

 The power take-off transmission (1) must be removed towards the vehicle underside While lowering, the front part of the power take-off transmission (1) must be swung upwards.

Install in the reverse order

Check oil level in PTO transmission, correct if necessary


