Modification notes
In order to increase the rigidity of vehicle structures, since January 2004, higher module adhesives have been used at all production plants for window bonding.
In order to achieve the identical level of quality when replacing a window, it was necessary to adapt the glazing repair kits.
The new glazing repair kit without booster 221 670 21 01 with high module adhesive replaces the previous glazing repair kit with booster 220 670 04 93.
The drive-away time remains unchanged at 2 hours.

Starting in April 2005, the glazing repair kits with booster
220 670 04 93 will no longer be available once the inventories have been used up.
The supplementary repair kit 220 670 05 93 (150 ml) previously offered in addition to the glazing repair kits with booster 220 670 04 93 also no longer will be available.
The adhesive quantity that since has remained in the booster now is fully available due to the discontinuation of the booster.
The 2-component repair kit for installing window 220 670 00 93 can still be used if required.

Repair information:
If the wire method is used to unglaze windows, it is recommended that this wire be a square wire.
If a battery-powered gun is used for the repair kit, we recommend that the intermediate piece 000 589 86 63 00 be used (offered as a special tool) in order to ensure that the cartridge is fully pressed out (see SI 67.00-P-0003A).
The new repair kit also is to be used for gluing in the fixed glass cover on the panoramic roof for models 203.7 and 211.0.
Heat-up time:
Place cartridge unopened in the cartridge preheater for one hour at 60 °C.
Processing procedure:
The adhesive material can be easily pressed out using a commercially available electric (battery-powered) or pneumatic cartridge gun with push rod.
Setting time:
Up to 10 min.
Drive-away time:
The drive-away time for the new glazing repair kit without booster remains unchanged at 2 hours.
This has been achieved through the use of a new adhesive technology.
