General information
When the new S-Class is launched in July 2013, software updates will still be required for certain vehicles.
Updating the software in good time is extremely important in order to meet our demands with regard to the new S-Class.
Update RegioDVD
DVD 05/2013: The message: "Please insert RegioDVD with HLI number 000 000 13 xx." should be ignored. Control unit programming must be aborted.
Instead, the DVD with the label "Regional ECU Software" with the HLI number 000 000 14 10 or 000 000 14 11 must be ordered via the logistics systems.
The received DVD must be installed on the diagnostic unit (see also operation step 2).
The message during the installation process: "You have inserted a Regio-DVD which is not suitable for the selected country. Do you want to continue installation?" must be confirmed with Yes.
Control unit programming can then be started again with XENTRY Diagnostics. The message "Please insert RegioDVD with HLI number 000 000 13 xx." is no longer displayed.
Digital Owner's Manual DVD
The Digital Owner's Manual DVD (as of 05/2013) can be ordered using the usual parts ordering process in the GLC/ELC. Before the head unit is updated, the Digital Owner's Manual DVD must be present in the workshop.
Instructions for the procedure to be followed when installing Regio-DVDs can be found in the:
Support Tool on the "XENTRY Kit" or
INFO information system on the desktop of the diagnostic system. The INFO information system can also be downloaded in the MercedesBenz After-Sales portal under the following link or path after the web password has been entered:
