The reason for changing the damage codes is to enable better assignment of fault types and is available as of 17.09.2012 for warranty and goodwill processing.
In future, the damage code 28001 must be used for all complaints on transfer case (e.g. bearing damage, fault type G5).

For damage code 28224 helical gear set/spur gear set, the fault type "36 noises" is replaced by "46 howling" (this fault type is to be used, for example, for gear set howling).
