Change to engine brake from standard system to High Performance Engine Brake

A chargeable retrofit of code M5V (High Performance Engine Brake) is available.

Preconditions

 XENTRY must be online.

 The latest version of XENTRY must be installed.

 The ordering process in the GLC must be completed (this is the case when you receive the data storage medium).

 The vehicle must be available through code M5U (Engine brake, standard system).

Procedure

 Order required part number by specifying the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the GLC.

 The GLC adds the code M5V for the equipment list of the vehicle in VeDoc and delivers an empty data medium. The data medium is necessary for process-related reasons and can be disposed of immediately after receiving it.

 Use XENTRY to retrofit the High Performance Engine Brake (after receiving the data storage medium).

Perform retrofit

 Connect XENTRY and select "Special functions" tab.

 Select "Retrofits and modifications" menu item.

 Enter the code "MCM001" in the "Designation" field and confirm.

 Follow the instructions in XENTRY.
