The sealing sleeve of the injection nozzle on the above engines has been modified.
The modified sealing sleeve, part no. W906 017 07 60, is shorter than the sealing sleeve used to date.
Only the modified (shorter) sealing sleeves may be installed in engines 906.9 and 926.9.
For engines 457.9, 541.9 and 542.9, the modified (shorter) or previous (longer) sealing sleeves may be used for repairs.
To avoid damage, the new assembly tool, part no. W906 589 03 63 00, must be used for installation.
The new assembly tool, part no. W906 589 03 63 00, replaces the previous assembly tool, part no. W906 589 00 63 00, and consists of the female bushing and a new press-on sleeve (black plastic).
The new press-on sleeve, part no. W906 589 03 63 01 (black plastic), can also be ordered as a separate part and used in conjunction with the female bushing of the current assembly tool.
The new press-on sleeve can be used for both the previous and new sealing sleeves.
The previous press-on sleeve (white plastic) must be destroyed.
