At the Wörth plant, the process for delivery and hand-over inspection has changed. The extent of the inspection is no longer static, but flexible to match the vehicle model designation with the focus on different subjects. This is why the pages for confirmation of the delivery and hand-over inspection in the previous maintenance booklet have been removed.
However, it is at the discretion of the companies/import companies as to whether a delivery and hand-over inspection is conducted or not and where applicable, confirmed by the customer in the Digital Service Booklet (DSB). This inspection is not covered by the warranty. However, any rework identified can be submitted through the warranty channels. The warranty capability of a vehicle is never dependent on a delivery and hand-over inspection being conducted, but on the type of damage complaint involved and the age or driven distance of the vehicles instead.
The guidelines for conducting delivery and hand-over inspection are available in the attached documents.
Perform delivery and hand-over inspection | Vehicles with code V5W (Fire brigade vehicle) and code V5Z (Delivery inspection, fire-fighting vehicles) | ||
