Mechanical workshop equipment and auxiliary material
This service information has the purpose of informing on the alteration in mechanical workshop documentation (SELiT) and on mechanical procedures equipment indication and/or auxiliary material.
Information only valid in Brazil.
Documents like WE/WH (Workshop Equipament/Conventional tools)
The equipment and auxiliary materials for maintenance and vehicle repair in the mechanical workshop, shown in documents like "WE/WH", will not be used anymore and published on the Technical Literature System "SELiT". The equipment and/or auxiliary material will always be shown/certified by the Service Information "SI".
The documents "WE/WH" will no longer exist. This alteration is necessary to standardize and unify mechanical workshop documentation between MBBras and Daimler AG.
For mechanical workshop documents published on "SELiT/ WIS", instead of a "link" for a document "WE/WH" on the 4th row, there will be a link to the website GOTIS on the 3rd row when the indication of an equipment and/or auxiliary material for performing a work, as the example shown below, is necessary.
1 Example: Equipment to replace brake fluid gotis://G 42 01.1
2 Example: Equipament to suck engine oil gotis://S 18.1 02.0
On GOTIS (GSP On-Line Technical Information System), all equipment and auxiliary materials certified for maintenance and Mercedes-Benz vehicle repair are available on the Internet website: http://gotis.aftersales.mercedes-benz.com.
The certified products on GOTIS were subject to quality control by Daimler AG, verifying material compliance, environment protection and work safety, and were released to be applied in the mechanical workshop area, assuring the auxiliary material compliance to be used on Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
The equipment follows the highest demands in quality and are only released when severe requirements, above legal demands, are satisfactory. Obviously, these demands and verifications are also important to protect our employees and customers. Therefore, preference must be given to these products.
MBBras will extend the certifications to equipment and auxiliary material gradually and individually, by the Service Information "SI", for all products shown at GOTIS which have representatives in Brazil.
For warranty and courtesy jobs, it is compulsory to use the certified products.
We recommend that the products and the applying and usage processes, which are interesting to your mechanical workshop, are introduced and shown by a specialist from the respective supplier.
Agreements for price-making must be dealt only with the respective supplier. Due to legal competition reasons, this does not concern us.
Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda. does not have any responsibility bonds in negotiation processes or equipment and/or auxiliary materials warranty.
The orders must be made only with the respective supplier.
The relation between local suppliers for mechanical workshop equipment and local auxiliary material are shown in document SI00.00-B-0080B.
