| Distinguishing features of stationary heater/stationary preheater/heater booster | Model 210 | |
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
1 | Release pressure in coolant circuit | For this purpose turn coolant expansion reservoir cap to catch position 1.
2 | Remove heater unit (A6) | Only remove until heater cover (5) is accessible.
Vehicles with stationary heater
3 | Unclip heater unit cover (5)
4 | Unclip coolant pump connector (8) | Installation: coupling is coded.
5 | Detach fastening (17) and unhook bracket (13) | Installation: First hook in coolant pump bracket.
6 | Pinch off coolant feed hose (4)
7 | Disconnect coolant pump (A6m1) from coolant hose (4) | Collect escaping coolant and refill into coolant expansion reservoir after installation.
8 | Install in the reverse order
9 | Following installation, bleed the coolant circuit
Check | |||
10 | Check fuse assignment of heater (A6) in left engine compartment
Danger! | Risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit | Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves.
11 | Start up stationary heater | If the heater (A6) switches off automatically before reaching its operating temperature and cannot be restarted again, a fault interlock is present (continue with ).
