2 | Remove dropside (1) | ||
3 | Remove outer handle on dropside (1) | ||
4 | Remove locks of dropside (1) | ||
5 | Remove model badge | ||
Assembly: Replace model badge. | |||
6 | Remove rear Mercedes star | ||
Assembly: Replace rear Mercedes star. | |||
7 | Remove locut nuts (2) | Assembly: Check locut nuts (2) for damage. | |
Depending on findings | |||

Replace damaged locut nuts (2). | |||
8 | Remove spacers (3, 4) | Assembly: Replace spacers (3, 4). | |
9 | Remove adhesive label (5) | Assembly: Replace adhesive label (5). | |
10 | Remove grommet (9) at dropside (1) | ||
11 | Remove bracket (6) | ||
12 | Remove electrical wiring harness (7) with grommet (9) | For this purpose, disconnect cable tie (8). | |
Assembly: Replace cable tie (8). | |||
13 | Assemble in the reverse order | ||
14 | Calibrate backup camera | ||
| Connect/disconnect diagnostic unit | ||
