Remove

Loosen the safety nut (2) in the pitman arm (1) and in the front axle steering lever

 Do not remove the nut in this operation as the drag link will come loose together with the puller, and it may cause injuries.

Loosen the drag link (3) in the pitman arm (1) and in the steering lever

 The drag link suddenly comes loose.

Remove the safety nut (2) and the drag link (3)



Install

Loosen the drag link (3) in the pitman arm (1) and in the front axle steering lever

 If a new drag link is installed, check and adjust the steering central position in the steering gear, if required.

Tighten the safety nut (2)
