| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove upper engine cover (1). | ||

2 | Remove air filter housing (3). | ||
3 | Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter (2). | ||
4 | Remove vacuum line (6) from vacuum pump (10). | ||
5 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (12). | ||
6 | Detach fuel system low-pressure line from engine and place to one side. | ||
7 | Remove the liquid-cooled charge air cooler. | ||
8 | Remove screw (8) of coolant pipe (9). | Bolt, coolant line to crankcase | |
9 | Remove screws (11) from holder of the coolant hose to the thermostat housing. | ||
10 | Remove bolts_(7). | Installation: Replace the bolts (7). | |

Installation: The drive plate of the vacuum pump (10) must line up with the support on the camshaft. | |||
