1 | Determine rear axle load | Except vehicles with wheel configuration 6x2, 8x2
Only vehicles with wheel configuration 6x2, 8x2
2 | Connect test kit | ||
Test kit | |||
3 | Fill compressed-air reservoir with air from external source
Fill to 9 bar. | |||
4 | Note down test values specified on ALB plate
| Function of automatic load-dependent brake (ALB) changed | ||
The ALB plate is located behind the maintenance flap or in the stowage compartment in the cab.
5 | Perform zero-load test
Test kit | |||
If the pressure specified on the ALB plate is not achieved:
| |||
Adjust pressure at linkage of brake force regulator (4).
An extension of the brake force regulator linkage (4) induces an increase in pressure, shortening of the brake force regulator linkage (4) induces a reduction in pressure.
6 | Perform half-load test
