Check the compressed air drier with integral pressure regulator (6.13).

Check safety pressure of circuits 1 to 4

 Simulate pressure loss (defect) in one of the brake circuits with approx. 0 bar.

If the safety pressure in the other brake circuit deviates from the specified value, the four-circuit protection valve (4.03) should be replaced.

 The test must be repeated for each brake circuit.

Check safety function of the four-circuit protection valve (4.03)

Only for Knorr four-circuit protection valve.

 Simulate pressure drop in circuit 21, in the process the four-circuit protection valve (4.03) must blow off audibly.

 The characteristics of this four-circuit protection valve (4.03) are that for a pressure drop in circuit 21 as of
4 bar (+ 0.5 bar) circuit 23 is vented to the atmosphere.

Check that four-circuit protection valve (4.03) fills circuits 1 and 2 as a priority.

 Bleed brake circuits 1 to 4 below the specified safety pressure If brake circuits 1 and 2 are not filled as a priority, then the four-circuit protection valve (4.03) should be replaced.
