1 | Release parking brake | ||
2 | Raise vehicle | ||
3 | Remove rear wheels | ||
4 | Remove brake disks on rear axle | ||
5 | Unhook retracting spring (6) using removal and installation tool | | |
6 | Remove retaining springs (7). | Compress retaining springs (7) and turn counterclockwise or clockwise through 90°. | |
7 | Remove brake shoes (1) with adjusting mechanism (5) and retracting spring (2) | If the brake shoes (1) are burnt or the brake disk surfaces are damaged, the brake shoes (1), retracting spring (2, 6), retaining springs (7) and brake disks should be replaced. | |
8 | Remove retracting spring (2) and adjusting mechanism (5) | Installation: Apply light coating of grease to thread on thrust piece (4) and inner cylinder of adjusting mechanism (5 ) . Turn back adjusting mechanism (5) and mount thrust piece (4) as follows: Left side: Left thrust piece to lower brake shoes (1). Right side: Right thrust piece to upper brake shoes (1). | |
