Fasten steering wheel in center position, to do so install holding device (1)

Check center position on steering gear, adjust if necessary

 The steering gear is in the center position when the marks on the steering column and steering gear line up. If necessary, turn the steering wheel to set the steering gear to the center position and fasten the steering wheel in the center position:

Remove/install steering wheel

Install wheel spreader (3) at the inside of the wheel at the rear in the direction of travel

 The flexible mounts on the control arms result in a toe angle that decreases to the specified level when the vehicle is operational.

Check individual toe-in (depressed), adjust if necessary

Release jam nut (4) on tie rod (5) and adjust the individual toe-in by turning the tie rod.
 The boots must not be twisted.

Check toe-in (depressed)

 The toe-in (depressed ) is then set when the individual toe-in (depressed) is adjusted.

Remove wheel spreader (3) and holding device (1) with pads (2)
