Drive vehicle onto test site and secure by applying parking brake

 The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Select suspension stage S or S+ using adaptive damping system switch on center console

 Both indicator lamps in the switch are off.

Switch off the easy entry/exit for the driver seat and steering wheel

Otherwise driver's seat and steering wheel move to a different position, e.g. when driver door is opened/closed.
The seat may be damaged if the brake pedal winch is installed.

 Switch off using the buttons on the steering wheel in the "Comfort" menu of the multifunction display, see Owner's Manual.

Open driver door, disembark and raise the vehicle level, then lower it again using the vehicle level switch on the center console

 Raising and lowering the vehicle reduces play in the suspension.

 The vehicle must not be loaded again.

Using the adapter, install the brake pedal retaining tool between the pedal and the driver seat

 Protect the brake pedal and driver seat from damage.

Move selector lever to position "P"

Open window and close door

 Preparations for checking steering lock.

 The vehicle must not be loaded again.

Switch off ignition

Attach quick-clamp holder

Fit on measuring heads

Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms

Perform initial measurement

Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclinometer and adjust if necessary
