1 | Remove wheels | ||
2 | Discharge compressed-air system | ||
3 | Support vehicle on its frame | ||
4 | Disconnect brake wear sensor connector plug (4) | | |
5 | Detach compressed-air lines (3) from combination cylinder | With compressed air connection system "VOSS 230". | |
With compressed air connection system "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6). | |||
Installation: Check O-rings and replace if necessary. | |||

6 | Detach hydraulic lines (1) from hydraulic cylinder | Seal off connections with plugs. | |
7 | Lift trailing axle (5) on the wheel hub | Lift until spring shackle (7) is relieved of load. | |
8 | Remove bolt (6) from spring shackle (7). | | |
9 | Secure axle to prevent it falling. | ||
10 | Unscrew nuts (2, 8) and remove bolts (9, 10). | | |
11 | Remove trailing axle | ||
12 | Install in the reverse order |
