If present the groove on the drive pinion and groove on the joint flange must match.
2
Attach retainer wrench (01) to joint flange.

3
Screw on new collar nut and tighten in stages carefully until the specified total friction moment (friction torque) is reached.
4
Detach retainer wrench (01) from joint flange.
5
Use the torque meter (02) to check the total friction moment on the drive pinion.
6
Carefully tighten collar nut further in stages until the specified total friction moment is reached.
Never correct total friction coefficient by slackening collar nut. Avoid tightening the collar nut too tightly. Otherwise the inner compressed ring will be pushed together whereupon it must then be replaced. This requires complete dismantling of the gear set.
Check total friction moment after each retightening using the torque meter (02).
