Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

Remove right front axle shaft.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1).


Do not use any sharp-edged tool.
Otherwise, the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) may be damaged.

Clean

Clean seat and sealing area of radial shaft sealing ring(1).

Assembly cleaner

Check

4

Check seat and sealing area of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in front axle transmission for damage.

If seat or sealing area are damaged,



Replace front axle differential.

Check bleed line (2).

 The vent line (2) may not be kinked or clogged up.

If the findings report requires it,



replace vent line (2).



Install

6

Install new radial shaft sealing ring (1) using drift.

 The sealing lip and dust lip of the new radial shaft sealing ring (1) are already greased and do not have to be additionally greased.

Install right front axle shaft.

Check

8

Check oil level in front axle differential.



Hypoid gear oils SAE 75 W-90 (specification 235.8)

If the findings report requires it,



correct oil level.

Check front axle differential for leak tightness.

 Visual inspection only.
