Remove radiator low-temperature circuit in wheel arch at left

Remove expansion rivet (1) and release fender liner at front left on bumper

Release and disconnect electrical connector (2)

Mark positions of pressure line connections (3) relative to valve unit (6)

Unscrew pressure line connections (3) from valve unit (6) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs

 Record plug

Unscrew bolts (4) and remove valve unit (6)



Check

9

Check elastomer bearings (5) for hardening and damage

If there are problems



Replace corresponding elastomer bearings (5).



Install

Position valve unit (6) and tighten bolts (4)

Remove all stop plugs

Mount pressure line connections (3) to valve unit (6)


The thread on the pressure line connections (3) may not be damaged.
Otherwise, leaks will occur.

 Pay attention to marking.

Read out and erase fault memory using the diagnostic system



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear buttoned-up and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform an engine test run and check air suspension for proper operation
