Remove/install

Remove transmission housing from torque converter housing (1w).

Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.15)

 Installation:
Apply oil to transmission components before installation.
Otherwise, damage can occur during the startup phase when the transmission is being commissioned.

Remove upper Torlon rings (2a) from output shaft (24).

 Installation: Replace the Torlon rings (2a).

Remove retaining ring (2b), shim (2c), axial needle roller bearing (2d) and thrust plate (2e) from output shaft (24).

 Installation: Replace axial needle roller bearing (2d).
Check axial play between shim (2c) and retaining ring (2b) and adjust if necessary.

Remove multiplate clutch K3 (21) from rear hollow shaft (22).

Remove output shaft (24) with rear planet carrier (23).

Remove remaining Torlon rings from output shaft (24).

 Installation: Replace Torlon rings.

Remove retaining ring and rear ring gear (25) from output shaft (24).

Check

8

Check multiplate clutch K3 (21) for scorch marks and wear.

If scorch marks or worn disks are visible,



Replace disks of multiplate clutch K3 (21).

Check rear hollow shaft (22) for damage.

If damage is visible,



replace rear hollow shaft (22).
