| Dismantling, assembling | ||
| Great attention must be paid to cleanliness when working on the shift valve body. Only use fluff-free cloths for cleaning. | ||
1 | Unscrew bolts (arrows) | Installation: Only tighten bolts (arrows) loosely so that both the housing parts cannot move against each other | |
2 | Remove valves (13, 24, 86) and screen (33a) | ||
3 | Hold shift valve body (A) and damper housing (B) together and turn over | ||
4 | Carefully lift off damper housing (B) with the intermediate plate | ||
5 | Remove all 18 valve balls (14) | The valve ball identified as number 14 is located on a conical spring | |
6 | Remove valves, filter and shift pin | ||
7 | Unscrew cover on side of shift valve body | Only check piston and valve for movement and swarf if necessary | |
Springs are installed upstream or downstream of the valve depending on the transmission/vehicle model | |||
8 | Assemble in reverse order |
