Remove

1

Remove electrohydraulic controller unit.

Unscrew screw/bolts (1).

Remove leaf springs (2).

Mark control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) relative to their installation location.

Remove control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20).



Clean

Clean seats of control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) in timing case (7).



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.15)

 Use new transmission oil only for cleaning.
If necessary, turn over timing case (7) rinse out any dirt.

Clean sieves of control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20).



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.15)

 Use new transmission oil only for cleaning.
Carefully clean sieves of control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) using magnet.
Then clean the sieves by rinsing them in fresh transmission oil until the wear debris and dirt are removed.



Check

Check sieves of control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) for wear debris and dirt.

If there are no traces of abrasion or soiling (picture C),



Install control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20).

If there are traces of abrasion or soiling (picture A, picture B),



replace affected control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20).

If more than 4 control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) are damaged or soiled,



notify Market Performance Center (MPC) or general distributor (GV), who will determine the further procedure.



Install

Moisten seals of control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) with transmission oil.



Install control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) again in original installation location.

Install leaf springs (2).

Screw in bolts (1).

Install electrohydraulic controller unit.

Perform gear selection adaptation of replaced control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) using vehicle diagnosis system.

If the control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) were replaced.



 Do not reset adaptation values for the electrohydraulic controller unit.
After replacement of respective control solenoid valves (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19) adapt the corresponding gears.
Control solenoid valve (14) gear 6 to 5 and gear 2 to 3.
Control solenoid valve (15) gear 3 to 4.
Control solenoid valve (16) gear 4 to 3 and gear 4 to 5.
Control solenoid valve (17) gear 3 to 2 and gear 1 to 2.
Control solenoid valve (18) gear 5 to 4.
Control solenoid valve (19) gear 2 to 1.
Teach in control solenoid valve (20).
