| Disassemble/assemble | ||
2 | Remove bolts (1) and remove leaf springs (2) | | |
3 | Pull all control solenoid valves out of electric controller unit (Y3/8) | Assembly: Always mount each control solenoid valve in its original installation position again. Moisten O-rings with transmission oil. | |
| Clean | ||
4 | Clean strainers of control solenoid valves | Check condition of control solenoid valves, replace if necessary. | |
5 | Unscrew screw (3a) | Assembly: Install new bolt (3a). | |

6 | Remove bolts (3b) and remove electric controller unit (Y3/8) from valve body assembly (7) | Assembly: Press in spring pin (5) from repair kit up to the end stop by hand and moisten O-rings (4d) on electrical connector (4e) with gear oil. | |
Assembly: Make sure that the retaining lug of the electric controller unit (Y3/8), which is located under the output speed sensor (Y3/8n3), is correctly positioned on the valve body assembly (7). Otherwise the electric controller unit (Y3/8) will be damaged. | |||

| Clean | ||
7 | Clean magnet (6) of shift valve (6a) | Use lint-free dry cloth to remove chips from magnets (6) of shift valve (6a). | |
Assembly: Check shift valve (6a) for correct seating in valve body assembly (7). | |||
8 | Assemble in the reverse order | ||
| Install | ||
9 | Install electric controller unit (Y3/8) |
