2 | Unscrew outer bearing cap (7) and inner bearing cap (16) from shift guide (4) and remove | Assembly: Coat the contact surface of the outer bearing cap (7) with sealant. | |

3 | Detach retaining ring (1) from gearshift shaft (17) | ||
4 | Pull gearshift shaft (17) out of shift guide (4) | Assembly: Align the spring package in the shift guide (4) using a suitable drift. Align the marking on the tooth crest of the shift shaft (17) to the cast lug on the inner bearing cap (16). | |
5 | Disassemble shift guide (4) | ||
6 | Remove spring pin (19) of shift finger (18) | Assembly: Replace the spring pin (19). | |
7 | Remove shift finger (18) and locking bow (20) from gearshift shaft (17) | Assembly: Insert the locking bow (20) so that the groove points towards the guide pin in the transmission. The shift finger (18) must be exactly opposite the marking on the tooth crest of the gearshift shaft (17). | |
8 | Remove corresponding spring pin (22) from gear display ring (23) and remove gear display ring (23) | Assembly: Replace the corresponding spring pin (22). | |
9 | Remove corresponding spring pin (22) from reverse gear stop ring (21) and remove reverse gear stop ring (21) | Assembly: Replace the corresponding spring pin (22). | |
10 | Disassemble inner bearing cap (16) | ||
