Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

Remove

Shift transmission to neutral position.

Raise vehicle.

Remove underfloor paneling at left.

If installed.

Remove shift cables (1) from transmission.

Lower vehicle.

Remove shift gate.

Unclip shift cable boot (2) from body floor.

Remove shift cables (1).


Do not kink shift cables (1).
Otherwise problems can occur during shift operations.

 To do so, pull shift cables (1) upwards and out of the body floor.



Check

Check shift cables (1), shift cable boot (2) and ball sockets for wear and damage.

If the shift cables (1), shift cable boot (2) or ball sockets have a problem,



replace shift cables (1).



Install

Install shift cables (1).


Do not kink shift cables (1).
Otherwise problems can occur during shift operations.

Mount shift cable boot (2) onto body floor.

 Check for correct seating of the shift cable boot (2) on the body floor.

Mount shift gate.

 Shift cables (1) cannot be adjusted yet.

Raise vehicle.
