1 | Remove range group module (7) | ||
2 | Detach breather fitting (1) from screw plug (2.1) | Only for transmission 715.350 | |
3 | Unscrew screw plug (2.1 or 2.2) and remove spring (3) | The screw plug (2.1 or 2.2) is spring-loaded. | |
4 | Pull out catch bolt (10) approx. 15 mm | ||
5 | Mark shift piston (8) when in "12 o'clock position" (arrow) | ||
6 | Remove transmission housing bolt on right bearing pin (4) | Only for transmission 715.350 | |
7 | Remove bearing pins (4) | ||
8 | Rotate shift piston (8) with piston rod (5) through 180° and pull out | ||
9 | Clamp shift piston (8) by piston rod (5) in holding device | Retaining device | |
10 | Remove shift piston (8) from piston rod (5) | Heat shift piston (8) up to approx. 80°C so that the quick-acting adhesive dissolves. | |

15 | Install shift piston (8) with piston rod (5) | The marking (arrow) on the shift piston (8) must be in the "6 o'clock position". | |
16 | Rotate shift piston (8) through 180° and hook shift fork into piston rod (5) | Using a small screwdriver attach the shift fork through the left bore of the bearing pin (4). | |
