Removing

Drain and collect transmission oil

Remove end cover (4)

The pressure relief valve (5) or pressure relief valve with bypass valve (6) is spring-loaded.

Rear end cover modified

Pull out pressure relief valve (5)

Transmission without code (N55) Transmission oil cooling

Pull out pressure relief valve with bypass valve (6)

Transmission with code (N55) Transmission oil cooling

Remove oil pump drive shaft (1)

Remove oil pump

Install

Check ball bearing (3)

Replace the ball bearing (3) in the event of damage or wear.

Clean contact surfaces of end cover (4) and transmission housing

Install oil pump

Install oil pump drive shaft (1)

Install pressure relief valve (5)

Transmission without code (N55) transmission oil cooling.

Install pressure relief valve with bypass valve (6)

Transmission with code (N55) transmission oil cooling.

Install roll pin on pressure relief valve with bypass valve (6) in "9 o'clock position".

Coat separating surface of end cover (4) with sealing compound
