Fill with compressed air

 Full reservoir pressure (min. 5.5 bar), display for ancillary consumers must go out; if necessary connect remote air to the vehicle or transmission.

Switch off ignition

3.1

Connect test cable for testing via the transmission connector (X29)

 For this purpose:

- Disconnect transmission connector (X29).
- Connect test cable to the transmission connector (X29) and to socket box (1).

- Connect positive circuit (2) and negative circuit (3) of test cable to the battery.

Connect test cable for testing via connectors X1 and X3 on the GS/EPS control module

 For this purpose:

- Disconnect connectors X1 and X3 from GS/EPS control module.

- Connect test cable to wiring harness to transmission and socket box (1)

Perform function check

 The actuation via the socket box (1) can take place with the electrical connection set or a shop-made test cable set.

Test cable sets for testing GS (EPS) gear control electrical system

 If the transmission functions are not obtained: 

Transmission installed:

- In the transmission butt position, start the engine briefly or raise the vehicle on one side of the drive axle and rotate the wheel then repeat the actuation.

Transmission removed:

- In the transmission butt position, change the position of the gears by rotating the output shaft.

- Check the electrical connections for the correct connection by means of the valid circuit diagram.

After the function test, erase all fault codes generated by the test (CAN errors in various systems)

Perform function test of transmission during road test
