 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

1

Switch off the ignition and keep the transmitter key outside the transmitter range (at minimum   2m).

Remove upper engine cover.

Remove engine air intake duct(2).

Remove cold air intake (3).

Remove crossmember (4).

 Bolt, lock striker to cross member/front-module carrier

Slowly open cap of coolant expansion reservoir and relieve pressure in engine cooling system

Close the coolant expansion reservoir cap

Remove bleed line (5) from cooler, capture escaping coolant, and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

Unclip coolant line (6) from fan unit (1).

Release and disconnect electrical connector from fan unit (1).

Remove center and front section of the bottom engine compartment linings.

Unclip bottom cold air guide from fan unit (1).

Unclip top cold air guide from fan unit (1).

Remove fan unit (1) from radiator mount and pull out upwards

15

Install in the reverse order.

Check coolant level and correct.
