 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

1

Remove air duct (4).

 To do this, remove expansion rivets (5).

 Installation: Check expansion rivet (5) for damage.

If expansion rivet (5) is damaged,



replace expansion rivet (5).

Suction off coolant from coolant expansion reservoir (1).

If a new coolant expansion reservoir (1) is installed.

Detach the hose (3).

If a new coolant expansion reservoir (1) is not installed.

 Clamp

Remove hose (3) from filler neck of the cooler.

 Installation: Check hose clamp (3) of cooler filler neck.

If clamp is damaged,



Replace clamp.

Remove hose (3) from fan shroud.

Remove coolant expansion reservoir (1).

 To do this, remove screws (2).

 Bolt, expansion reservoir to fan shroud

Remove hose (3) from coolant expansion reservoir (1).

If a new coolant expansion reservoir (1) is installed.

 Installation: Check clamp of the hose (3) of the coolant expansion reservoir (1).

If clamp is damaged,



Replace clamp.

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check leak tightness of the coolant expansion reservoir (1) while the engine is running.
