1 | Remove air cleaner housing | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
2 | Drain coolant | ||
3 | Take off supporting strut (6), place to the side with plug connection | ||
4 | Detach crankcase ventilation line (5) at power steering pump carrier | ||
5 | Detach cruise control actuator (M35), place to the side with electrical connection | If Tempomat (code MD0 and MD9) | |
6 | Unscrew bolt + washer (8) and push shock absorber of poly V-belt tensioning device (7) to the side (arrow) | | |
7 | Remove coolant hose (9) | | |
8 | Detach coolant hose (1) at coolant pump and coolant hose (2) at crankcase | | |
9 | Unscrew bolts (arrows) at timing case cover | | |
10 | Take out oil-water heat exchanger (3) to the rear | Installation: Replace seals (4) | |
11 | Install in the reverse order | ||
12 | Inspect engine oil level, adjust to correct level if necessary | ||
13 | Inspect cooling system for leaks |
