3	Disconnect dipstick guide tube (7) and bracket (8) at oil pickup pipe (12)	 Installation: Install oil dipstick guide pipe (7) and bracket (8) free of tension.

4	Remove oil pickup pipe (12)		*BA18.10-N-1002-01B
5	Remove oil pump (1)	 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and coat with sealing compound.	*BR00.45-Z-1013-01A
		Place guide sleeve (16) onto the crankshaft flange and install oil pump (1). Do not damage radial seal (14) when installing.

6	Remove O-ring (4) on connection fitting (5)	 Installation: Install new O-ring (4).
7	Check contact surface for radial sealing ring (14) on crankshaft flange for score marks or galling	 In case of score marks or galling on crankshaft flange, machine crankshaft if necessary.
8	Remove radial sealing ring (14)	 Installation: Press radial sealing ring (14) dry, parallel to the axle and over the whole circumference evenly into the oil pump (1) using a drift (15). Do not damage radial seal (14) when installing.

9	Take off oil pump unit (18) at oil pump housing and inspect for wear	 Not when installing new oil pump (1).
		If traces of wear from seal or wear on oil pump unit or on oil pump housing (18) are present: 
		Replace oil pump (1).

10	Install in the reverse order
