The EATU and the exhaust aftertreatment (ACM) control unit must always be connected with each other. It will always do this either only the EATU or the EATU plus the exhaust aftertreatment (ACM) control unit is replaced.
In this connection one speaks of "re-hanging the control unit". If this was not done, no future "x-actions“ such as software updates would be possible. Linking or "re-hanging" of the control unit is performed on request by means of XSF by the central VeDoc team.
If for vehicles with engine 470.9, 471.9, 473.9 a EATU of Generation I (Wave 1) is replaced by one of Generation II (Wave 2), one of the codes listed below will also be stored by the VeDoc team.
U1R (control code, AGN Box Wave 2)
U2E (control code, AGN Box Wave 2.2)
This is the only way to ensure that XENTRY can assign the correct data set later in the case actualisation of the software release of the exhaust aftertreatment (ACM) control unit.
Determine the ID code or serial number
1 | Connect diagnostic system, start XENTRY and switch on ignition. |
2 | Determine the ID code or the serial number of the installed exhaust aftertreatment (ACM) control unit and take a note of it. |
The ID code or the serial number can be found in XENTRY under: "exhaust aftertreatment (ACM) control unit " "Version" "Serial number of the control unit A60" |
Allow the control unit to link or "re-hang"
3 | Print out form and fill in completely. |
4 | Scan in the filled form. |
5 | Using the XSF feedback function in VeDoc over the central VeDoc team allows the exhaust aftertreatment (ACM) control unit link. |
The filled out form must be attached as a file. |
6 | End XENTRY and remove the diagnostic system. |
