1 | Remove engine compartment flap | ||
2 | Detach charge air pipe (3) on turbocharger (1) | Loosen hose connector (4) and detach connector hose (2) from turbocharger intake support brace. Installation: Check hose strap for reusability. | |
3 | Remove pipe socket (8) from turbocharger | The flap fitting (7) remains for removal on the exhaust flex pipe (9). Installation: Replace nuts on pipe socket (8). | |

4 | Remove compressed-air line from engine brake cylinder | All models with an engine brake valve. The engine brake cylinder is located at the bottom on the turbocharger. | |
5 | Remove oil pressure line (5) above on the bearing housing | Installation: Replace seals. Fill bearing housing with clean engine oil through the oil entry bore before connection of the oil pressure line. Rotate rotating parts by hand during this step so that bearings are provided with a film of oil. | |

6 | Remove oil return line | The oil return line is located at the bottom on the turbocharger bearing housing. Installation: Check hose strap and connector hose for reusability. | |

7 | Remove both exhaust manifold pipe (6) from inrush pipe (10) | The inrush pipe remains for removal at the turbocharger. Installation: Install new nuts. | |

8 | Install in the reverse order | Installation: Before attaching the turbocharger all lines should be checked for foreign objects, fouling and damage. |
