| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter. | ||
2 | Remove the inerting system line in the engine compartment and place to one side. |

3 | Remove charge air pipe downstream of exhaust gas turbocharger. | Engine 260 in model 118, 177, 247 | |
4 | Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter. | Engine 260 in model 118, 177, 247 | |
5 | Remove screws (2). | Bolt, heat shield to cylinder head/holder/support | |
6 | Remove the front heat shield (1) from the retaining clips (3). | ||
7 | Remove screw (6). | Bolt, heat shield to cylinder head/holder/support | |
8 | Remove the upper heat shield (4) from the retaining clips (3). | Installation: Ensure seal (5) is correctly seated in retaining clips (3). | |
9 | Install in the reverse order. |
