Connect diagnostic system.

It is absolutely essential to precisely follow the operation steps as described in the diagnostic system. Ensure an adequate power supply from the batteries (greater than 24 V). Do not disconnect the battery during testing.

Switch on ignition.

Start diagnostic system.

Then Industrial engines  Direct link for control units  Engine control  Select current fault codes.

Select the appropriate fault code and follow the user guidance of the diagnostic system.

Delete emissions-relevant fault code (OBD NOx control fault code) only after the appropriate troubleshooting has been carried out in full and at the express instruction of the diagnostic system. Ignoring this procedure will inevitably lead to the fault code occurring again.
Be sure to work through all test steps in full, even if a fault is found in the meantime.
Once the test steps have been worked through in full, a four-digit random number, the eight-digit ID code and the calculation type XN are displayed in the diagnostic system.

Enter the four-digit random number, the eight-digit ID code and the calculation type XN in the vehicle documentation system (FDOK) screen 1801.

Authorization for access to FDOK is required to carry out the work. After entering the data, FDOK issues a 12­digit encrypted random number.

Enter the 12­digit encrypted random number in the diagnostic system and confirm using "F3".

If the entry is correct, the fault code and the torque limitation that may be associated with it are automatically deleted.

Switch off ignition.

Disconnect diagnostic system.
