Remove flywheel (2)

Use puller (3) to pull race (1) off flywheel (2)

 Insert to detach thrust piece (4) in flywheel (2).



Remove radial sealing ring on timing case

Install

 Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Heat up new race (1)

 Heat race (1) to a temperature of a maximum of 60°C. The race (1) must not have any temper color; replace the race (1) if required.



Place race (1) on flywheel (2)

 The rounded edge of the race (1) must point outwards.

Reposition race (1) on flywheel (2) using drift (5)

 The race (1) must be flush with contact surface of flywheel (2) to crankshaft.



Install a new radial sealing ring in timing case

 Install radial sealing ring with a large inside diameter.

Install flywheel (2)

 The race (1) on flywheel (2) must be cooled off.
