Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove transmission with torque converter

Install retaining lock

Remove screws/bolts (5)

 Installation: Replace screw/bolts (5).

 Screw/bolt, two-mass flywheel or drive plate to crankshaft

Remove retaining lock

Remove flywheel (1) together with washer (4)

 Installation: The cylinder pin (2) determines the installation position of the flywheel (1).

Remove washer (3) on crankshaft

 Installation:
Ensure that the washer (3) is positioned correctly.
Malfunctions may occur otherwise.



Check ring gear of the flywheel (1) for damage

In event of cracking or wear



install new flywheel (1).

Check friction surface on flywheel (1) for crack formation and wear

Check radial shaft sealing ring for leaktightness

In case of leaks



Replace radial shaft sealing ring.
