3 | Remove flywheel/drive plate. | ||
4 | Remove cylinder head cover. | ||
5 | Unscrew screw/bolts (5) and lay fuel lines down to side | ||

7 | Unclip vacuum hose (3). | ||
8 | Remove electrical wiring harnesses (11) from the brackets (10) and place to one side. | ||
9 | Remove rear radial shaft sealing ring from the timing case cover (12). | ||
Installation: Replace rear radial shaft sealing ring. | |||
10 | Remove starter from the timing case cover (12) and place to one side with connected electrical lines. |

Installation: Follow the bolt plan. | |||

12 | Pry off timing case cover (12). | | |
Installation: The pilot bushings must engage in the cutouts in the timing case cover (12). | |||
13 | Clean sealing surfaces of the crankcase, oil pan, and timing case cover (12). | ||

14 | Apply sealant to the sealing surfaces of the timing case cover (12) with a squeeze gun. | ||

15 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

17 | Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness. |
