Before mounting a wheel-and-tire assembly all the operation steps listed in the linked description must be conducted carefully.
The complete wheel can otherwise work its way loose from the vehicle.

Change round wheel-and-tire assemblies on front and rear axles

If necessary, subject to separate repair order and only for vehicles without mixed tires.


Maintain running direction of wheel and tire assemblies.
Otherwise handling characteristics and handling comfort may be impaired and tire wear increased.

Mount wheel-and-tire assembly and tighten wheel bolts

 Observe the tightening sequence (1 to 5) and tightening torque.

Correct tire pressure of front and rear axle tires

Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.

Mount hubcaps

Vehicles with hubcaps


Check for correct positioning of hubcap to valve and for correct seating.
Otherwise the valve will be damaged or the hubcap will be lost.
