Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Check treads as well as outer and inner side walls of all tires for damage such as cuts, punctures, cracks, breakouts, peelings and ingressed foreign objects.

 Tread, as well as outer and inner sidewalls, may have cuts, punctures, cracks, chipping, peeling and penetrating foreign objects.

If damage is found,



replace the tire.

 After obtaining special order.

Assess wear pattern and tire tread depth of front and rear axle.

Only if the reception items as per the "Reception report for service on vehicle" were not carried out.

If an unusual wear pattern is detected:



Replace tires.

 After obtaining special order.

If the minimum tread depth has been reached:



replace the tire.

Rotate wheel and tire assemblies of front and rear axle .

Observe assembly note (6). The wheel and tire assemblies on the front and rear axle have different wheel offsets even when they have identical tire dimensions.
Do not exchange wheel and tire assemblies on each axle.
Damage can otherwise occur.


Maintain running direction of wheel-and-tire assemblies.
Otherwise handling characteristics and handling comfort may be impaired and tire wear increased.

 After a driving distance of 5000 km (3100 mi) it is advisable to change over the tires.

If necessary,



rotate wheel and tire assemblies.
