1 | Remove stop plugs from holes (A, B). | ||
2 | Install expansion anchors (3) for mounting tie-down rails (1). | ||

3 | Prepare adhesive for installation of tie-down rails (1, 2). | ||

4 | Mask off hatched areas around tie-down rails (1, 2). | | |
For this purpose, move tie-down rails (1, 2) to installation position and mask off adjacent areas using suitable tape. | |||
5 | Sand undersides of tie-down rails (1, 2) with enclosed sanding material. | ||
6 | Clean undersides of tie-down rails (1, 2) and bonding areas within masked off areas. | Cleaner | |
7 | Apply bonding agent to undersides of tie-down rails (1, 2). | Observe manufacturer's data for use and processing time of bonding agent. | |
8 | Install rear tie-down rails (1) in succession. | | |

For this purpose, apply predefined adhesive bead (8) through cartridge nozzle (10), as shown, at center on respective rear tie-down rail (1) and immediately position, press on and screw on this tie-down rail (1). | |||

To do this, provide installation lug of respective end cap (6) with 2 adhesive points and press into end of respective tie-down rail (1, 2) as shown. | |||
16 | Note down serial number. | The serial number of the tie-down rails (1, 2) is located within the tie-down rails (1, 2) at the shown positions (arrow C). | |
17 | Clean bonding surfaces for the warnings (12, 13). | Cleaner | |
18 | Bond warning (12) centrally onto the inside rib of the platform paneling (11) as shown. | To do this, use rear end of the tie-down rail (15) as a dimension edge. | |
Observe dimension (A). | |||
19 | Bond warning (13) to the inside wall (14). | To do this, bond warning (13) centrally to the bottom edge (arrow D) of the hatched area. | |
20 | Supplement special equipment with manufacturer's serial number in the Vehicle Documentation System (VeDoc). | Designation of corresponding special equipment: Code Y1W (load bed anchoring rails). | |
Attach noted serial number and note "Tie-down rails subsequently retrofitted on platform floor as per AN60.30-S-0029P" under field organization texts for design group 60. |
