Measuring and adjusting

1

Move the vehicle to the measuring station.

The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz

 Abide by the general instructions for chassis alignment

Disconnect the rotating plates

Install brake pedal tensioning device in brake pedal



Install the Mercedes-Benz quick-release clamping holder

 Install the value detector

Carry out initial measurement

 The real values of the relative magnitudes of the vehicle will be measured

Measure the vehicle level on the front and rear axle

The toe-in, camber and caster will be adjusted with reference to the vehicle level

Check and adjust the camber and toe-in on the rear axle

Check and adjust the camber and caster on front axle

Check and adjust toe-in on front axle

Carry out final alignment

 Apart from a control measurement of the magnitudes or adjusted values, a check must be carried out especially on the toe-out on turns which is essential for the steering geometry

 Check toe-out on turns

Remove the value detector

Remove the brake pedal tensioning device from the brake pedal

Take the vehicle out of the measuring station

Lock the rotating plates
