Remove all handles from roof

Remove edge guard (3) from door cutouts in area of headliner (1)

Remove headliner (1) from

retaining tabs (8) on vehicle roof and lay down on head restraints on front seats and rear bench seat.

 Helper required
Do not reinstall spacers (5) on brackets
(7) for grab handle after removing headliner (1)

Disconnect electrical connectors (6) from electrical components installed on headliner (1)

 Number of electrical connectors (6) according to equipment.

Remove headliner (1) from vehicle through rear door cutout with aid of helper and lay down on suitable surface.

 Handle headliner (1) carefully Danger of damaging headliner (1).



Install

Prepare roof paneling (1) for installation

Only when replacing headliner (1).

Lay headliner (1) through rear-end door cutout into vehicle with aid of helper

 Handle headliner (1) carefully Danger of damaging headliner (1).

 Lay headliner (1) down on head restraints of front seat and rear bench seat

Connect electrical connectors (6) and position headliner (1) on vehicle roof with helper

 Number of electrical connectors (6) according to equipment.

Replace damaged retaining clamps (4).

Ensure that retaining clamps (4) are seated correctly on retaining tabs (8) on vehicle roof and on headliner (1)

Install all handles on roof
