Remove fuel filter.



Replace fuel filter

Remove electrical wiring harness from the coolant pipe (7).

Remove bolts (5).

Unscrew bolt (4).

Press coolant pipe (7) to one side.


Carefully press the coolant pipe (7) to one side.
Otherwise the coolant pipe (7) may be damaged.

Remove screw/bolts (3).

 Bolt, EGR line to exhaust gas recirculation valve

Remove rear engine compartment lining at bottom.

 Installation: Reinstall rear bottom engine compartment lining only after the leak test.

Remove center underbody protection.

Remove exhaust gas recirculation line (1).

 To do this, remove screws (2).

 Installation: Replace seals.

 Screw/bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to charge air manifold

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
