Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Move A/T into neutral position and switch off ignition

Lift vehicle on lifting platform.

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Remove drain screw (1) and drain ATF

If transmission oil is burnt or contains wear debris, flush oil cooler lines and oil cooler to prevent subsequent damage to automatic transmission:

Flush out oil cooler lines and oil cooler.

Installation: Install new sealing ring (2).

Remove bolts (3) and remove oil pan (5)

Installation: Replace seal and observe correct positioning of sprag (4).

Clean

Remove permanent magnet from oil pan (5) and clean

Replace oil filter (6) with O-ring

Install in the reverse order

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
